My name is Tamara, and I am a writer, storyteller, and artist with a lifelong devotion to the living world and the subtle magic woven through everyday life. Forests, flowers, creeks, moss, and mountains have always called me, not as places to escape to, but as companions. Over time, through wandering, and simply being with the world, I've experienced how nature reflects us back to ourselves and reminds us what is real.

In 2022, I went through a deeply challenging burnout. The stress of modern life along with the hormonal changes of menopause were too much for my system, and it felt like my life had imploded. I am profoundly grateful for the loving and caring support of good friends and family during that time, as well as the steady companionship of the natural world. I spent as much time outdoors as I could, focused on my breath, embraced a slower pace, and made nourishment a priority. Slowly, I found my way back to myself.

Through that experience, I came to understand just how sensitive I am. And I don't mean weak. I mean that I feel deeply. And I had built survival mechanisms to try to exist in a modern world that often does not honor sensitivity. Burnout dismantled those. What has become so clear to me is how essential it is to listen to the needs of our bodies, hearts, and souls and to treat ourselves as sacred and precious. I am still learning how to live this way, but I'm now so much more gentle on myself than ever before.
And something truly beautiful emerged from that dark time in my life. I discovered SoulFerne. It had been right here within me all along, but I hadn't allowed myself to truly embrace it, until I realized how incredibly important it is to my heart and soul. And I would actually say, SoulFerne is my heart and soul. For me, it is aliveness. It is what makes life worth all the hard times, the grief, and the pain. Woven in and through this mundane world, SoulFerne shimmers and sparkles. And I believe that everyone carries a piece of SoulFerne within them. Maybe it goes by different names. But you know it. It's the magic within the everyday that reveals itself to us when we choose to live from our hearts and align ourselves to what is good and truly real.
